After blowing a cool hundred U.S. American dollars at TJ's, I got in my car and could not use enough hand sani. And then I raced home, not to dive into the new channa masala I bought, but to vigorously wash my hands thrice.
OK just kidding--I raced home to dive into the channa masala.
And the spicy spinach pizza. And the fresh strawberries and blackberries. And the veggie chips. And the lime chili cashews. And the watermelon FruityFlakes. And the sushi rolls. And the Purple Moon Shiraz.
But ALSO to wash my hands. Because seriously, my hands felt hot and squirmy with the bum-bum germs of 10 million hippies.
Fair-trade dark chocolate on a hot tin slide.
Good thing I also bought delicious lemon hand-soap at Trader Joe's. I went through about 1/4 of it.
Before diving into my channa masala. Braaaaaap.
they do have some delicious, hippy-approved food in there. yum!
ReplyDeleteChanna masala...yum....
ReplyDeleteBum bum germs, not so yum.
I have you to ever thank for introducing me to that!
DeleteI know trader joe's bad I always end up spending way to much there. But my little one loves so much of their stuff.
ReplyDeleteWe do not have a TJ's here but I have had many of their delicious offerings. We do however have a Whole Foods that just opened that employees a great mass of unwashed hippies. I love the hippie food in theory, however I find both quinoa and tofu to be gagful.
ReplyDeleteWay to power through. Extra purell with dinner tonight.
Fact: I disinfect my grocery packages when I get back from the local Trader Joe's each week and almost everyone I know proooobably thinks I'm crazy for it! :D
ReplyDeleteAex, I've never known anyone else to do this. I of course disinfect my groceries as well. High five! *uses purell*
DeleteNo TJ's here in Springpatch either. Or a Whole Foods. We're so deprived. But we have "Mama Jeans", the local favorite organic hippy-market. It appears fairly clean...but you know they only clean that place with their own "all natural non toxic" cleaners...so how clean can it REALLY be? :D
ReplyDeleteAgree. Sorry, but coconut oil and rosemary is not going to kill MRSA. Go ahead and polish your furniture or wipe your mirrors with all natural nonsense, but if you need to clean up after raw chicken? Fucking bleach that shit. No lemony lemongrass and white vinegar for me.
DeleteExactictally. And they're not using Simple Green. I would know. Everyone would know. The stuff has sassafras in it. Everything that's ever been touched by Simple Green forever reeks of licorice. But it's CLEAN!
DeleteI too use non toxic natural cleaners. Are you hatin'???? Environmental terrorism is a real thing.
ReplyDeleteNope, not hatin' at all. Simple Green is my faves cleaning product in the whole wide world. Because it's what we use to decon all our stinky, nasty, disgusto equipment after we finish up with our field work. The way I see it, if that stuff can get nasty gasoline & diesel-contaminated water & dirt off our gear, it's probably good enough to clean up normal household bum bum germs too. (Plus...I mean...like...free stockpile at our office...come on...)
DeleteIt's those other "look, I squeezed some lemon juice & two mint leaves into a bottle o' water & now I'm gonna charge you $8 for it" products I take issue with. :)
DeleteShoo...you an expert. I like the Green Works stuffs. Makes me feel all wamr and fuzzy and of the earth :)
